2024 Archery Tip of the Week #1

Weighing your arrows is one of those extra steps that can give you a slight edge on the competition. There are many reasons why an arrow may weigh more or less than another one of the same spec. If you are buying arrows from the store, it is best to buy at least 12. This will give you a practice set and a tournament set. A good way to determine which arrows should be in each set is to weigh each arrow and make the six arrows that are most similar in weight your tournament set, and use the 6 that are furthest apart in weight your practice set. While it may not make a world of difference, why wouldn’t you go the extra mile to tip the odds further in your favor? If you want the most possible consistency, consider assembling your own arrows.
